Dad treats for Father’s Day

By Toowoomba Living · On September 1, 2015

The day for Dads is fast approaching, so Toowoomba Living has done a little digging on what’s on and where you can take the big guy in your life for a special Father’s Day treat.

*Alert – so many sport related items coming up!

  1. Buffet Breakfast at the City Golf Club

Start the day right with a hearty breakfast. The City Golf Club has a special $19.90 for members and $21.90 for non-members. Don’t want to get up early? They’ve got lunch and dinner specials on too.

  1. Father’s Day Brunch Jondaryn Woolshed

Before heading to the Festival of the Golden Shears this weekend treat Dad to brunch at the Woolshed. Adults $20, children $12; or combine your breakfast with entry into the festival (adults $34.50 and children $17). Bookings essential.

  1. UFC 191: Johnson vs Dodson at the Wilsonton Hotel

See all the UFC action from Vegas here in Toowoomba at the Wilsonton Hotel. Starts 12pm.

  1. Father’s Day packages at the Beauty Bed

For the Dad that’s cool with some manly pampering the Beauty Bed has a variety of relaxing and rejuvenating packages available. Spots are limited so book soon!

  1. Fishing at Cooby Dam

If he’s an outdoorsy-on-the-water type take him fishing. Cooby Dam is about a half hour’s drive from town and it’s likely you’ll pick up some yellowbelly or cod. But you will need a fishing permit before you go.

  1. Say farewell to Justin Hodges

This Thursday night Broncos meet the Melbourne Storm at Suncorp Stadium. As part of the farewell celebrations for Justin Hodges you’ll be allowed on the turf after the game.

  1. Pixels advance screening

Adam Sandler is still making movies. Decide if that’s a good thing at the Father’s Day advance screening of Pixels at the Grand Central cinema.

Tell me what you’re doing this Father’s Day!
