At the end of a two-hour session at Inflatable World my face was a horrific shade of red, I’d worked up quite the lather of sweat and survived being in close proximity to what seemed like several hundred screaming children.
Oh and dodged a pile of vomit (which was being swiftly attended to by the staff and the rest of the place was super clean).
It was awesome!
Toowoomba’s newest way to have fun and wear out your kids is here. Located at Toowoomba Indoor Sports in Spencer St, Inflatable World is an invitation to give back your adult licence for a couple of hours and just give in to the childlike silliness of jumping, bouncing and sliding.
If you walk in thinking you couldn’t possibly fill two hours just on jumping castles and inflatable slides well you’d be wrong. There is so much to do! The space is huge, with a fantastic variety of equipment, including obstacle-like courses and a Velcro wall. And if you want to get your It’s A Knockout on, there’s a jousting pit where you can battle your mates with a massive, inflatable jousting poles.
Under fives won’t get bowled over by the bigger kids – they’re well catered for with their own separate area and there are heaps of staff members roaming around making sure everyone plays fair.
And because it’s indoors, it’s the perfect rainy or chilly winter’s day family activity as we head into the Toowoomba winter!
Here’s some tips to help you have the best fun ever at Inflatable World:
- Wear socks. You have to, it’s the rules.
- Wear long pants/tights. You can work up quite a bit of friction going down the slides!
- Wear comfortable clothing that will breathe – it’s non-stop action which means you can get quite hot and sweaty.
- If you’re a supervising adult you don’t have to pay, but why supervise when you can get in on the action? Jump in and have fun.
- Adults – keep an eye on their Facebook page – an adults-only night will be announced soon.
